Micro$oft DirectX 10 ALSO works with XP, not just Vista. It updates DirectX 9.0c to 10:

does this web installer upgrade to dx10?

because i surf the net of Micro$oft - it just upgrade to v9.19.1005

I downloaded the above updater and ran it, the result is still 9.0c.

sorry for the repetition.. i have some problems with our server avaxsphere.. i do not know how to remediate. i have a proxy ,but that doesn't work correctly.. sorry, mister the administrator, and sorry ,my friends( excuse my bad english.. i speak french)
