Various FontSet Collections

Hi Pariman,
First of all - thank you for uploading these great fonts, but could you not have made a few more files to download? Are you trying to kill us fontaholics? I realise you are trying to get more Rapidshare points, but to make files 13,17,19,20kb in size, and then waste your time uploading them to Rapidshare is a bit excessive don't you think? Out of all the files you uploaded - only 3 files were over 1 meg!
I know what you and others are going to say - if you don't like it - don't download it. But at least this gives the next guy who comes here some idea of what to expect! Cheers.

Man. superb post content.. but LOL.. I have to post this.. its crazy hahaha.. I downloaded the Scriptorium fonts, and got a .zip file,I unzipped it and...well I get 150 folders each one containing another .zip file, wich in turn, when extracted, results as another folder with 2 info files and ...another .zip file!!!! hahaha, and finally, inside this third zip file there is a font file. :D

I just have to get around doing this 150 times. If I werent such a font maniac Ill prolly just let it go.
But Scriptorium fonts are great!

PS. does anyone know if there is a faster way of extracting this?

A company called Wolverine (if memory serves) makes multi-unzip software which is (was) freesware. It should be easy to Google it up. 'Hope this helps, fellow font-heads!

As for the copying of files into one directory, the XCOPY command under DOS can help. Once the .zips are all in one folder, WinRAR's "Extract here ..." might come in handy. And again under DOS, DEL *.nfo, DEL *.txt, etc., should separate the wheat from the chaff -- just make sure not to delete *.ttf. :-)

As for hundreds of tiny files with thousands of subdirectories, well ... cleaning up the mess BEFORE uploading would save many people a lot of time -- who cares whether its 0 day, 3 or 7 days?

And finally, there are more than fifty free file hosting services out there. Distributing the files evenly among them, instead of CrapidShare all the godforsaken time, would save a lot of people a lot of time and effort. Yes, RapidShit provides fast download speeds for a file, but what counts is the overall time (including "too many users right now" and waiting periods) for ALL the files that one needs. There is not one particular service that is "best", it is the mixture and equal usage of all of them that would bring relief.

There´s an option with winRar that is to select ALL the zip/rar files and right click to ''extract here'' and another handy option is ''extract in different directories'' (usefull when you have multiple rar files to extract in their own directories)
