The Glenn Miller Orchestra - Direct Disc Sound Of - 1977
Vinyl rip in 24 bit/96Khz | Redbook 16 Bit/44kHz | FLAC | Cue | no log | Covers | FS*WU*FP | 626 + 163 MB
1977 / Genre: Bigband Jazz | The Great American Gramophone Company - U.S.A.

This sparkling album has audiophile qualities with “catching” rhythm and timing. Listen for yourself; it’s a “workout” for your tweeters.. This is a repost and a completely new rip; some added tweaks, a better suited interlink and a non standard audio usb cable gives more clarity, refinement and a (more) open soundstage.. Note: No silence was deleted, please burn gapless... Enjoy this "reference-recording" album!

Wow.. very nice! Having done live recordings and listened to direct mic feeds, this does not disappoint. Looking at the waveforms, it appears as if they didn't use any kind of compression and certainly no reverb was added.

Oh my God ! :) It sounds really good. Can't believe, that it's an LP disk. Can't remember any digital record that sounds like this. I use a DAL CardDeluxe Soundcard (modified for less jitter) and a custom made headphone amplifier (still under R&D by me) and a not so good sounding semi closed AKG K242 HD. Thank You very much for this post !!! (from Hungary)

Was the source a vinyl record?

This is really outstanding!

It sounds extremely well.

I have really no words... but yet good ears! :)

Congratulations! This is one of the best rips I have ever heard in my life.
