I don't have this LP: thanks a lot!
Both pieces are on "Stockhausen Complete Edition" cd 24

Music Im Bauch, I've heard of that title, but I don't think I have it. And Tierkreis - I thought I had it, but apparently not. Catalog says no.
Well, then, a good catch. Thank you antidatum

Thanks antidatum. I heard the UK premiere of Musik im Bauch at the Roundhouse in London I guess it was 1974... not heard since, I don't think! Will see if I remember it. I do remember an oversized Stocky-as-giant-eagle doll being flogged with sticks and a music-box popping out of his stomach..! Ah, the good old days. :)

I am curious where you found this though. Are there sources of this type of music other than avax?

Visiting the hi-res section, I only now see the album is 24/96, ha! Marvelous! the first Stockhausen in that quality.
By the way, I have a weak spot for music boxes. Love the Tierkreis

@ d'Avignon: Yes, I agree, one can fall in love with this sound!

@ rroseselavy: There are plenty of such places, to name only a few: Soulseek community, eDonkey network, rutracker.org, demonoid.me, intoclassics.net, and last but not least: blogs all over the net.

@ antidatum

Thanks for the list. I knew only a couple of them. Will explore further! Listening to Musik im Bauch as I type this. Wonderful! Thanks again.

Many thanks for this!
It brings back many memories to me too. May I add my own story? In 1979, I happened to live alone for 2 months in the house where the giant Stockhausen eagle headed puppet was stored - the one which is on the record cover. On many evenings when I felt quite solitary, I sat beside the puppet which I've seated in front of a large desk, and randomly stroke the tiny bells sewed to the chest, and listened to their resonance in the silence. It was in the middle of winter, and it was fantastic.
Today, I have two of the Tierkreis music boxes - one was a gift from Stockhausen when my first son was born.

Now you're getting me curious, povipovillas...! You knew Stockhausen personally?

I did have this tremendous honour for about 30 years. If you want, I'll let you know more through the "Private Messages" channel...
