About the Recording

Madeleine Peyroux is the real deal. She brushes off comparisons to Billie Holiday, but it's certainly not bad company to keep. This is a beautiful record flowing with sparse arrangements and sultry vocals. If you like Norah Jones...wait until you hear this! The 12 songs found on Careless Love feature a mix of acoustic blues, country ballads and torch songs showcasing Peyroux's sultry alto. Highlights include "Don't Wait Too Long" composed by Peyroux, producer Larry Klein (of Joni Mitchell fame) and Jesse Harris (best know for his contributions to Norah Jones' hit album, Come Away With Me). Also exemplary are Peyroux's warm renditions of Leonard Cohen's "Dance Me To The End Of Love" and a lightly-swinging arrangement of Bob Dylan's "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go".

If you are on Mac use BetterZip, if you are on Windows, use HJSplit to first combine all files into single zip file and then un-archive, or you could just use 7-zip and it will combine and un-archive.

I'm curious why you choose this method of file sharing. What are the advantages over just using RAR files. Someday I hope to upload some of my rips here, and just wondering what the best way is. I've never created any RAR or ZIP files before, just extracted them.

@ SuperFuzz: I just select folder or files, right-click, choose mouse menu item 'archive with winrar', give it a name and set the size bottom left. For big uploads, that means 100m (DON'T forget the "m", or you'll end up with a billion archives containing 100kb each !!).

Well, I'm doing it on a Mac, and I couldn't find a better solution to satisfy both Mac and Windows users, if you know one let me know I'll be happy to use it.
I'm a bit lazy, I could launch a Parallels on my Mac and use it to WinRar the files of course, perhaps that's what I'm going to do from now on.

Hi dimsal. To create RAR Files on a Macintosh you can try SimplyRAR for Mac http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/21430. It looks like it should fit the bill. Another GUI front end I found is RARme http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/12598/rarme.
