As the dawn of the 1960s saw new-breed jazz being fomented, Burrell, Blakey, and company proved you could still swing and remain melodic while creating new sonic vistas. This recording is easily recommended to all.

Part 2 is corrupted. Can you please re-post. I don't have the technology or know-how to fix busted rars.
Thanks so much and as always thanks for all the great music!

@layoutpad: If you don't have Winrar, get yourself a copy. Click on the corrupt file to open it. Now, under TOOLS, go to REPAIR Archive and click on it. As long as there's a recovery record in the file (most posters here build recovery files into their rars) it will be repaired. Delete the corrupt file and use the new one when unraring. It's pretty easy

Still hoping for a clean rar...instead of tech advice.

Thanks.

Just do what Deelaudid suggested and you won't have to wait for a clean rar.

Anyways, thank you asksman. I really dig these 45rpm's, and this is a Burrell session that I never knew existed.

You made my day. Thanks again.

Winrar doesn't work on a mac.
Posted By: aksman Date: 12 Oct 2011 07:34:34
@ all who had trouble with this rar's

Unfortunately I can't reup in the moment because I'm not at home.... Pls try to download from Filesonic, because those files are my original upload. FF & WU are remotes. If you still have trouble with the files I will reup them as soon I'm back home.
Posted By: layoutpad Date: 12 Oct 2011 21:14:40
@Aksman

re-downloaded part 2 from Filesonic and was able to unpack the rars successfully.

So your hunch about the remotes was spot on like everything else you do. Thanks for the reply (and of course the great music)

Cheers!

Wonderful!
Just like year 1959 in jazz: 'Kind of Blue' 'Time Out' 'Giant Steps'..

Thanks for sharing aksman!
No part 3 on WU.

@layoutpad: I was just trying to be help. I don't know why they don't put repair capability into Unrarx. Actually there is a Winrar for Mac, but it's called Unrar. I believe it's only command line though......I don't know if that's helpful to you
Posted By: layoutpad Date: 15 Oct 2011 15:11:06
@Deelaudid

Thanks. Not your fault.
I should have specified I was on a mac. I do use unrarX and it works great but there is no repair function in the program.

I wasted an hour trying to chase down a program that would work.
(in in addition to the previous hours wasted trying to solve a similar problem in the past)

I've run into this from time to time and have tried alot of "repair" programs for mac and
they all involve some kind of complicated terminal line command thing that's way beyond my technical skill.

You end up sitting there for 20 minutes staring at a blinking cursor that doesn't do what you want it to do...

No hard feelings, I hope....

Does anyone have part 2 of this (kebur_5spot_hr.part2.rar)? Filesonic is 404'ed, WUpload likewise no longer has the files, and the file at Filefactory isn't *corrupted*, it's *truncated* - there's no recovery record (yes, I did try repairing with WinRAR anyway: no dice).
