Azteca "Azteca" (1972)
DVD-A Only ISO | 96 KHz/24 bit QUADRAPHONIC 4.0 LPCM | ISO 15 x 200 MB + 118 MB | CD Cover and back tray art
Genre: Latin Jazz Rock | Label: Columbia PCQ 31776 | Source: SQ LP (software decoded)

(From wiki)
"Azteca was a Latin jazz-rock-fusion group formed in 1972, started by Coke Escovedo and his brother Pete Escovedo, who had just finished stints with Latin rock pioneering band Santana. Azteca was the first large-scale attempt to combine multiple musical elements in the context of a Latin orchestra setting, and featured horns, woodwinds, multiple keyboards, three vocalists, guitars, drums, and multiple Latin percussionists.
Onstage, the band consisted of between 15-25 members, and toured with acts including Stevie Wonder. Other notable Azteca alumni included drummer Lenny White, bassist Paul Jackson, vocalist Wendy Haas, trumpeter Tom Harrell, guitarist Neal Schon, vocalist Errol Knowles and percussionist Victor Pantoja. The group was also a musical starting point for Latin percussionist Sheila E. (the daughter of Pete Escovedo), who appeared with the band as a teenager. Two albums were released on Columbia Records, the self titled Azteca (1972) and Pyramid of the Moon (1973), before the band split up.
On September 15 2007, a number of the surviving members of Azteca performed together for the first time in more than 30 years in Hollywood, California. The concert was recorded for an eventual DVD release."

My personal opinion is that there was a rift in the classic Santana line-up and Coke decided to make his own LP , notice the reference to "egos" on the back cover blurb.
He then made a very good LP,this one, ,even borrowing guitarist Neal Schon for a few songs.
Although similar to Santana, it added a few more elements, like Gospel ("Empty Prophets"), making it a bit different and quirky.
This particular Quad mix has been out of print for more than 35 years , so here's to all of those listeners who wondered what it would sound like and for those who may have heard an "early" Quad SQ decoding/Q8 versions, none of which compare to this Hi Resolution DVD Audio conversion
.
ENJOY!!!!!

@ empanadilla

If readers are using Internet Explorer to download files you can get file corruption. This is due to IE's use of temp folders. If you use FireFox this does not or rarely happens. This corruption problem is the fault of Microsoft. I also had the same problem on my Macintosh with the Safari browser.

Also folks can greatly limit their risk of viruses, spyware and the general annoyance of the advertising by using FireFox with the AdBlock Plus plug-in. Be sure to subscribe to all the built in subscription advertising blacklists.

All the viruses and spyware comes from those ads. FireFox and Adblock Plus make for a pleasant and a safer trip for all the websites you visit.

@Dr. Robert:
Thank you very much for your visit and excellent advice. (I always use jdownloader-mac- and I STILL get "corrupt" files that I have to download again, so it may also be RS's fault too.)
I am a big fan of your excellent rips.
It is an honor to have you check my rips.

@ everyone:
I will upload it again, and it will be up in a couple of days.

Unfortunately, the compression was not turned on the "add recovery record" option
so that the downloaded file does not repaired..... :(

Posted By: empanadilla Date: 18 Jun 2010 20:21:53
they must have been corrupted on the uploading because I checked them before I uploaded them.
I'm guessing you already tried to repair them...
Posted By: ro_koko Date: 18 Jun 2010 20:33:20
I suggest you, use always an "add recovery record" option in Rar prg. (1-3%)
I downloaded today 4 Gigs, and only your stuff has a bad crc...
Posted By: empanadilla Date: 19 Jun 2010 12:19:42
ro koko;
I use SimplyRar(Mac) to pack them and have no way to add a recovery record ..that I know of!!!!
I'll look for another raring program for Mac that can do that...
Here are the offending files in another address:

Cheers...

I haven't had a DSL connection since August last year , so I can not upload (or basically download) anything big. This situation will remain until the bastards at the phone company decide to install a landline in my house., please accept my apologies, Empanadilla.
