For many back in the early '60s, this was their first exposure to live recorded blues, and it's still pretty damn impressive some 40-plus years down the line.

Personal Note

With my vinyl transfers, I try to catch the whole beauty of vinyl records; therefore I don't use any post-processing or any sound improvement. What you get is a clear and flat transfer. For getting a clear sound, I'll do an extended washing of each record with my RCM, which can take up to 30 minutes brushing on each side. Resistant ticks and clicks I try to remove as good as possible, but the priority is not to lose any musical information in the process. Surface noises, as long they are not too high, are left in place. Only on bad pressings or on records recorded at extremely low levels do I use a fade in-/-out. As John Peel said, "Life is full of surface noises." In some cases this means that I have to make a compromise.... The result has to pass my personal quality criteria, which is IMO quite high.

Another great share, aksman, hope you can find time to post the Speaker's Corner John Mayall "Blues Breakers With Eric Clapton" LP - great album - still looking for that one along with "The London Howlin' Wolf Sessions" Speaker's Corner LP and the Columbia 180g Robert Johnson "King Of The Delta Blues Singers" if anyone has those - hate to ask since I'm only a taker here but these are three vinyl rips I truly would love to have over all others!
Thanks again for your great posts, aksman!

@ Aksman
Do you think this version is better than the Chess GCH-8022 (Re-Issue from ~1980)?
I imagine you consider this a bit of an 'upgrade'?

Thanks aksman,

@ ManWhoCan

For me this new Speakers Corner is clearly superior to the Chess GCH-80022... The SC offers better dynamics and much more details and an amazing three-dimensionality.
That's why i posted it.
