| “ | "SHUT UP! NOTHING IS BETTER THAN TOMMYWHOSNEXTQUADROPHENIA". Stop. Relax and take a breath. This "odd" compilation of songs is so crazily strong you wonder why (even after reading Townshend's liner notes explanations) each one wasn't included *somewhere* on earlier regular releases. It could have provided them some welcome reputation for more Beatle-esq variety on otherwise "normal" releases. | ” |

Even after all the "majesty" of their two rock operas and best-known Lifehouse-leftovers (Who's Next) this LP will forever remain at the top of my list of favorite Who releases. I didn't say it WAS my favorite; picking one over the other during this period would be foolish and a waste of time.

You've got pure, "innocent" pop from early Beatles and the Beach Boys already in your collection (or should), OK fine, whatever. "Little Billy" will change such a notion in an instant. Written for (and rejected by) an anti-smoking American Cancer Society campaign, it's deliciously perfect a pop song as ANYONE has ever written or performed, and one of those miracles Moon perfectly drummed as naturally as falling off a log. Pete can't help but proclaim this a "masterpiece" and if you've got at least one working ear you won't either.
You somehow lived this long, or otherwise clicked the post link by mistake, don't know this release, and are intrigued? You should be.
Kel's is a quality rip without a doubt, so hie thee here post haste and snag it.
BTW, I noticed that this was posted yesterday, and then taken down for a while. Was there any reason why it was removed? MANY THANKS!
