Climategate - 30 Years In The Making (2009)

"Trying to deceive us"?? Why would anyone bother doing such a thing? With a world populated by people such as this I'm half tempted to think that humanity deserves the doom that is rapidly coming our way...

We already know they are trying to deceive us - the emails reveal the deception and the obfuscation perfectly - that is firmly on the record now.
The reason for this deception, is because this fictional 'crisis' has been manufactured in order to justify the formation of a 'global government' (those words were written in the Copenhagen treaty) in order to resolve this made-up crisis.
The only 'doom' coming our way is politically founded, not environmentally - although that is not to say that we should not be responsible stewards of this earth - of course we should. But such drastic political measures as are being implemented now are not grounded in science. They are based on governmentally sponsored propaganda through government-sponsored anti-scientists.
The geological record shows that CO2 levels have never preceded climate change - they have always *followed* it. Always.
The medieval warm period DID exist and WAS warmer than today - hence, todays temps are noting to be alarmed about.
Furthermore, the correlation between solar activity and global temperature is now well proven - and has nothing to do with CO2 - but is being ignored by the corrupt UNIPCC.

History is littered with political tyrants who announce 'crises' that only they can solve if you give them more power. In 1930s Germany that crisis was 'the Jews'; there was a consensus that Jews were inherently devious and greedy and inferior - diabolical nonsense, but that was the consensus amongst German scientists of the day. Scientists are only human like the rest of us, and will often say what is required to stay on the payroll of their paymasters. Then it was the Nazis, now it's the Communistic U.N.
And so we see scientists today dismissing any scientific evidence that disagrees with their preconceived notion of AGW. And the Climategate emails show that perfectly as Lilywhite said.

Thanks for your comment. I watched it, I thought it was utter crap to be honest. It was pitched at 12-year-old Mission Impossible fans and did more harm than good to the freedom cause. Alarmists would watch that and laugh. I prefer documentaries that explain in scientific terms why it is right not to accept this CO2/Warmist nonsense.

@ virtualeach: Well said. The emails are all there in black and white, and they reveal crimes against science, despite the spin that IPCC scientists are trying to put on it. The emails show scientists at the CRU and other IPCC agencies agreeing to 'peer review' each others papers to get them published, and to lock out anyone not agreeing with their little 'consensus'. It shows them conspiring to get a journal editor sacked for publishing papers by a sceptic. It shows them worrying over sceptical papers that are demonstrably correct and they have no way of refuting it. It shows them discussing withholding data subject to FOIA requests, and shows Jones telling others to 'delete emails' containing the data, rather than release them to the public (which is illegal when requested under the Freedom Of Information Act). It also shows them discussing using a trick to 'hide the decline'. The word 'trick' is apt. It is is not a euphamism for 'clever thing to do' as some jokers try to have us believe. The 'trick' was to weld together two datasets (one from instrumental readings, the other from proxy data) into the SAME GRAPH! That way they managed to show a nice graph with no Medieval Warm Period, and a rise at the end instead of a decline! A 1st grade science pupil knows that's not science! Khzuber, of course, won't get this. (!)

Its all about a global climate-tax that everyone has to pay. We all will think that they going to use it for environmental Issues but they will waste it for everything else except environmental Issues and big international corporations will try everything to get this money.
After short amount of time we will get a new global tax a "war on international terrorism - tax", than a tax to overcome the global financial-crisis an so on...

It's not about who believes what. It's about verifiable facts. I don't hold with such emotive sentiments as 'killing the planet' etc etc. I'm interested in science. I LOVE science! :) Real science is truth. That's probably why I have such low regard for politicians!

We're not running out of water. Water is the most plentiful natural resource on the earth, after air. The only problems with availability come from the fact that water for agriculture is largely subsidised in the West, and so with such an artificially cheap supply, Farmers have no incentive to modify/circulate crops to suit different wet and dry seasons (like in the old days). And so we find water being in short supply during periods of less rainfall. This of course is ALWAYS temporary. The next rainfall is always around the corner - always has been and isn't about to change now. Did you know that about 85% of human water usage is for agriculture? Might make you think twice next time you think using an economy flush on your toilet will make any measurable difference! ;)

As for oil: of course one day it will run out, as will coal and natural gas. None is finite. But the energy companies aren't stupid. When it genuinely runs low (in a hundred or two years or longer) they will be the first to start investing in alternative technology, otherwise they will have no industry - simple as that. It's simply not a crisis now. The fact is - when a resource/good/product becomes in short supply, its price naturally rises (that's basic market forces in a free society), it becomes unaffordable to most, and so through sheer necessity alternatives are sought and developed. But there is absolutely no need to start worrying about running out of energy in our lifetimes. So chill! And who knows what incredible technology we will have by the time the oil eventually runs out!

You mentioned hurricanes. There has been no increase in hurricanes in the last 150 years.

There is also no scientific basis for 'increased warmth causing more extreme weather'. Did you know, in the 70s when everyone thought we were heading for the next ice age, they were saying the opposite: that the *cold* would lead to more extreme weather events! See? Scientists are human too. They know that a crisis = funding for research and guaranteed work!

Please remember - governments LOVE to scare us with crises, because it makes us vulnerable and only to willing to hand more power to them so they can save us from disaster. But it's nearly always based on emotion and manipulation and even lies. Don't be like Stalin's 'useful ideiots' - hold your government to account. Always question.

@ nf1001: you posted a graph, which I am familiar with, and is fair - but you failed monumentally to draw the blatantly obvious conclusion. So I'll spell it out for you. It's a fact well known in the field of economics.

WEALTHY NATIONS REPRODUCE SLOWER THAN POORER NATIONS.

These 'developing nations' are kept down, and kept poor by their corrupt, inept governments (usually propped up by our own corrupt western governments who want to keep them down).
The best way to tackle any nation's over-population is to give them freedom. That means freedom to vote for political representation, free trade (something even we in the west don't have), free markets, free enterprise and freedom to enjoy profits from the fruits of one's labours for the benefit of oneself and one's family. And the level prosperity is clearly, inversely linked to the level of reproduction (as your graph illustrates). So, in short, the solution is to allow human beings the freedom to prosper.

But, nf1001, regardless of this fact (which you failed to grasp from the graph you posted) your shrill alarmism is still misguided. Did you know, even now, every single person on the earth could fit side-by-side on the Isle Of Wight? Of course this would be somewhat uncomfortable (to say the least) but it kind of puts things in perspective. We are not short of space for people on this earth, not by a long, long, long way. Your 'bottom line' is a fallacy.

What we ARE short of, on this earth, is basic freedom. What the Left desire to do, is not raise the poorer nations up to our living standards, but rather drag us all down to theirs.

I suggest THAT'S the problem.

Tell that to Phil Jones who has stepped down from his post pending an official inquiry (he's the one who subverted the peer-review process, and who used Mike's nature trick to 'hide the decline'). Tell that to Michael Mann who's hockey stick model always produced a hockey stick shape even when random numbers from the phone book were input (and yes, it still passed peer-review - strange that, isn't it). But most of all, keep telling your SELF!

Unfortunately for those of us still able to read, listen and compose our own thoughts from the information we have taken in, most western governments have been very clever in weakening education and independant thought. This has created a populace too dumb or too self-interested to notice how corrupt the politicians and industrialists of the west are. Hell, in the UK more people vote for crap amateur singers on TV than vote in national elections! I don't for one minute believe in climate change due to human causes, but I DO believe the end of modern civilisation is near, unless more people wake up from this rampant consumerism and get rid of these politicians and their cronies. After all, if we can now vote for TV singers by phone, text and e-amil or buy a lottery ticket at an electronic terminal, why do we need politicians? Distance is no longer a restriction to representation, with modern rechnology it would be easy to have genuine democracy, every single person could vote directly on every single issue just by ticking a form and submitting it at a terminal like a lottery ticket!

Yeah, crazy that people are so gullible as to believe these crooks and politicians. Some people genuinely don't realise that the climate always changes, has always changed, and will always change without any help from man. They actually believe that climate should stay the same for 100 years and never change - crazy! Still, there has been no warming for over a decade (as many of the crooks admitted in the Climategate emails) - in fact there has been general cooling. Sea levels have not risen by more than 3mm per year for the last 150 years and are showing no signs of increasing. Greenland is still covered in ice (it was green in the medieval warm period). Some glaciers are melting - many are growing. There has been no increase in hurricanes or cyclones over the last 100 years (actually a slight decrease). They told us that snow in the UK would be a thing of the past - and yet we've had snow here for the last 3 years in a row. They told us winters would get milder. But we're having one of the coldest winters since the 1960s. Crazy! :)
