Where do you get these releases from? HD-DVD?
Posted By: Caban Date: 07 Aug 2006 21:03:53
OK, guys.
I really understand your problems, but try to look from opposite side.
In last week I uploaded 5 HDTV movies.
Its 44.08 GB, 192 rar files about 238 MB each.
And I am not counting next 12 GB on upload and samples for each movies (together 1 more GB).
I am not stupid, I am not greed, I have RapidShare (1 year), Oxyshare (lifetime) and even Filefront (premium) accounts.
So what?
To upload just 1 238 MB files I need:
Megaupload - 21-24 minutes
RapidShare - (5x50) - 2 hours 14 minutes
Oxyshare - 7 hours 37 minutes
Filefront - 15-18 minutes, but they have very strong policy, so it will be deleted in first hour of downloading.

Do you want to re-upload to different file service?
Go ahead. I don't care if you make some money using your personal accounts.
For beginning try to re-upload samples.
You'll see how easy that is.

Statistic for today:
HDTV - Mr. and Mrs. Smith - 134 full downloads, 397 - sample
HDTV - Lord of War - 76 full downloads, 146 - sample
HDTV - National Treasure - 96 full downloads, 402 - sample
HDTV - Equilibrium - 47 full downloads, 172 - sample
HDTV - Into the Blue - 4 full downloads, 42 - sample
HDTV - Lights, Camera, Girls - 46 full downloads, 233 - sample

Even DREAM OF JEANNIE - THE COMPLETE DVD SERIES - ALL 5 SEASONS (same Megaupload, almost 14 GB) - 64 full downloads.

I am sorry. I have access only to English and sometimes to German versions.
I never heard about French HDTV movies at least for downloading.

Do you see a Search button?
Put HDTV and click search.
On page 2 and 3 you can found a lot of HDTV movies including National Treasure.

Thx Caban, great stuff. Limit is monitor now, but always better than DVD.
Search engine is now out of order. You had one your posts links to the other pages. I hope someone who knows pages, dates etc. will add that info.
Comment of Zweilander, lol. (week ago I calculated old vhs-pal data without any compression, DVD could store 120 seconds.)

Is that oxyshare statistics on main page compete hoax? HoaxyShare?
RS don't allow any "speedloader" for uploading. I got there 55kbytes/s (awfully slow I admit for account owner)
Oxy says w/FTP 550kb/s (bits or bytes?) calculating with bytes your data should take 42 minutes. How it took for you 7½ hrs?

I will try to pack few movies with Uharc (free stuff), because once I saw this amazing 50MB full cd of mp3. I thought first it's hoax. But that uharc file extracted like super-pop-corn to 700MB of mp3s (128-160kbps), several hours of sound. So chaging compression to betterone will speedup uploading and downloading. Winrar is good program, but... check out freeones too.
