thx mate its a great effort but WHO IN THE WORLD wants to download 9.5gig for a film that looks just as good as a 800mb film when burnt to DVD. Mate you work to hard for nothing :)

I agree u work too hard for nothing, however, you could provide DivX format which could be the same quality with smaller file size..

Thanks for your post

by tha way, what does it mean HD movie?
I know HD CD (the new generation like bleu ray) but does this mean a quality better than DVD?
Folks! Let's stick to our dvd-rip quality: not bad at all and it's light and fast to download ;)

Hello jawmah:

HD= High Definition. Maximum Resolution 1080(i),(p) (Interlaced or Progressive Scan Signals). By the way Progressive signals display better picture image.

HDMI= High-Definition Multimedia Interface. (for audio & video on one cable) Audio, multi-channel digital audio on a single cable, supports compresseduncompressed audio formats, 8 channels and 192Hz sample rate. On a DVD-Player with this interface tries upscaling the video signal to a similar of HD resolutions.

Non HDMI DVDs players, maximum resolution signals of 480(i),(p) & 576(i),(p).

SDTV= Standard Definition Tele-Vision. Uses Resolutions of 480(i) & 576(i).

EDTV= Enhanced Definition Tele-Vision. Uses Resolutions of 480(p) & 576(p).

In order for the use of HD content on disc media, HD-DVD & Blue-Ray apparently were the finalist for the $olution.

HD-DVD, holds 30GB on a dual layer disc and expect around half on a single layer. Producing more space by their shorter laser wave length.

Blue-Ray, achieving greater capacity to an approximately of 50GB dual layer, and expect around half on a single layer.

I hope this information is somewhat accurate, but remember between the HD-DVD & Blue-Ray technologies, they may be changes along the way... Unlike SACD & DVD-Audio which neither have dominated the CD market (the popularity of compressed audio may be the reason!), one of these formats can easily go little by little dominate the digital video media arena, simply because of the demand & wishes of the consumer, us. So probably in the future the PS3 may be a good investment, or not...

Like always: (wish for everybody)

Have a nice day/night & a great year.

Genuinely,

Xin

Somebody has HDTV-set at home.
Somebody also has Buffalo LinkTheater PC-P3LWG/DVD or JVC ProHD SRDVD-100U players (actually it’s about DVD 11 players with TS-play future).
All that players can directly show TS Stream from PC to HDTV-set via LAN, or play from DVD-disk with TS contest.
Somebody does not have HDTV-set, but has Home Theatre projector or computer monitor with HDTV-resolution.
Somebody need centuries, 20 years, 7 months, 20 days and 15 minutes to download 9 GB.
Most people in USA have 10-15 Mbps cable internet, Japan and part of Asia has 100 Mbps internet.
To download 9 GB just a few minutes for them.

I personally have about 120 TV channels and I watch only 20 of them because its HDTV channels and it’s very hard to watch regular channels after you watch HDTV.

why, why megaupload? it's shitty slow!!!
Posted By: Caban Date: 04 Aug 2006 02:28:39
First of all, 5-7 Mbps is fast enough for me.
Second of all, do you have any alternative for 9 GB release?
Posted By: AlexFreenet Date: 04 Aug 2006 19:15:36
I have from rapidshare 2Mbps. megaupload - 0.5 mbps...

Yes, for me RapidShare is more faster
than Megaupload and Oxyshare... :-)

OK.
My personal statistic:
RapidShare vs. Megaupload

RS - 30 Mb vs. MU - 250 Mb
Size for PREMIUM users
RS - 100 MB vs. MU - 2000 MB
Download limit for FREE users
RS - 30 MB/hour Vs. MU - Unlimited
Download limit for PREMIUM users
3 GB/day (up to 15GB/day burst-downloads) Vs. MU - Unlimited
Download speed for FREE Users
RS - 2-3 Mbps vs. MU - 0.2-0.7 Mbps
Download speed for PREMIUM users
RS - 2-3 Mbps vs. MU - 5-7 Mbps
Upload speed for FREE Users
RS - 0.5 Mbps vs. MU - 1.5-2 Mbps
Upload speed for PREMIUM Users
RS - 0.5 Mbps vs. MU - 1.5-2 Mbps
Files lifetime for FREE Users (no downloading)
RS - 30 days Vs. MU - 21 days
Files lifetime for PREMIUM Users
RS - 1 year (1 year membership) Vs. MU - Forever (Lifetime membership)
Cost:
RS 1 year membership - 102 USD vs. MU Lifetime membership - 100 USD

Maybe, if you have eBook (3 MB) or small program (7-12 MB) RapidShare is good.
But I have about 40 HDTV movies - 7-14 GB each (Once Upon a Time in America - 28 GB, for example)
Could you tell me how can I upload this to RapidShare?
And how you will download 7-14 GB from RapidShare?
Without PREMIUM account its almost impossible, with PREMIUM account MU is better and chipper.
