Posted By: MoMuzak Date: 01 Oct 2006 22:23:06
the clips show a Camera made version, not a DVD rip. :-(

xbox123, uploading is quite easy, although tedious.
Well, i'm assuming you're uploading to one of the free file-hosters, like rapidshare/megaupload/depositfiles/oxyshare/...take your pick.
So, the first thing to know is the limitations of the specific file hoster you're going to use - most important is maximum file size, since it won't accept your file if it's bigger than waht is allowed. It is also good to know how many times the file can be dl - for instance, i like dl from sendspace, but they have stricter file retention rules than usual.
You can check that in the file-hoster site, in the FAQ.
Let's assume the controversial Rapidshare (no nags, please, i just choose this because it is still the most used, if not the better one).
Split your file in parts that are under the maximum file size. Also take into account your connection speed, so you can ul each part when you want.
Now, just go into the RS site (or another) and there is a textbox with a 'browse' button on the right, and a 'upload' button just below. click on browse, locate your file to upload, click ok, then click upload. leave it on or continue working/surfing/whatever, as uploading is not resource intensive. when it's done, you'll find a page with the RS link in it, just copy it to a txt before continuing.
There are also programs that automate this for some file hosters.
The basics are the same for almost every file hoster. Try with a small file if you wish, to get the hang of it. oxy or deposit files seem to be nice, nowadays, RS has the famous hourly limit, but they increased file size to 300MB, so a 700 mb file would need just 3 parts.
To split the file, i suggest that you use winrar, multivolume, with password making the filenames invisible without it. that way, RS will find it harder to know what it is. Compressing an AVI in zip/rar is useless, so select the lower compress ratio on winrar to work faster.
good luck

i just checked the RS site, it says 100MB max file size, maybe they retreated from the 300MB size, or a just a mistake, i don't know.
