KOBAT - PIECES FOR PREPARED PIANO
MP3 | 256Kbps | 112Mb
Genre: Avant-Garde, minimalism

Debut CD release by Ralf Merten, a new act on Source Records.

Kobat explores the treated piano. This is experimental music which might remind you of Phillip Glass, John Cage, Tom Waits and other musical influences. But it sounds very techno, too. Denying borders between acoustic and electronic music, Kobat could exist as computer sequenced music using synthesised sounds. In fact it is a live performance on an acoustic piano.

Well, i disagree with this quot, his music doesn't resemble music of any composers mentioned. incredible music, imho[/center]

I'm sorry, mp3 is all i have. I trust your words, but never had an opportunity (nither records, nor amplifier) to hear this difference. But still i think mp3 256 is enough to get acquainted with this music, it is impressive even in mp3, imho

Thankyou!
I agree with interzone, though, on the other hand, this should just be a sampler of the music. If you enjoy it, buy it, so mp3 256 should be sufficient for an appraisal :)
Thanks again!

Thanks for this upload...mp3 is ok for me...but I´m really thinking ´bout interzone words...maybe I stop converting ape & flac to mp3...entering a higher degree of being is always a good thing... :)
