"Neil Young remains the only musical troubadour to have emerged from the post-Dylan pre-Woodstock era to remain a wholly relevant composer and performer this far into the third millennium."

Maybe I'm missing something here, but that sounds completely inane to me. Whoever wrote it is a moron.

Think Simon, Taylor, Mitchell, Robertson, to name just a few who have been totally relevant during that time period.

But then what do I know?

Many thanks -- it's going to take a while, though, since the services you're using almost all suck (no offense -- and thanks for using so many).

(I agree with grafassi that the blurb is very silly -- but then, so is using the title of a Dylan song for a documentary about Neil...)

Having completed and succefully unpacked this now (after a few archive repairs), I can see it's the DVD formerly known as "Neil Young: Under Review 1966-1975", following much the same format as the "Leonard Cohen: Under Review" volumes, which are excellent. It's unofficial, of course, so people shouldn't expect too much in terms of complete-songs concert footage, because there isn't any. I see from Amazon there's also a companion "Neil Young: Under Review 1976-2006", which it would be nice to get hold of.

Great post bieffe! Thx a lot!

Why is it that most times I get lousy down-speeds from Fileserve and Filesonic? And I have premium accounts! About 30 k/s is all I can get in speed, that sucks! Uploaded is way faster than the two F's. I get speed at 500-700 k/s at Uploaded. That's good, but of course not great.

I managed to download all 43 parts (after several attempts). Took me some time, but who cares. Now I'm wonderin' what this will give. I read a review on Amazon that this dvd mainly consists of unknown people talking about the songs of Neil Young and there's little musical content on this dvd. Ain't singing for Pepsi ...
