These are really moving along fairly steady. And that is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! :)

It's got to be a real labor of love. Lots of work,I'm sure.
Yes, the music we love & cherish. Fun for the whole family.

Thank you,VanPelten.

Thanks for the kind words. It is indeed a labor of love and wish I could keep up the current pace for the balance of the set, but I've been the beneficiary of a few days of nice downtime...and my fiancée being out of town :) I'll do my best to keep the project moving along in the next few weeks.

@ VanPelton

Thanks for sharing your excellent collection. It appears to me that these three initial Sinatra posts have a bit of clipping. Please try a slightly lower capture volume for your next releases.

First of all, I can't express enough gratitude for your Sinatra posts, they are superb rips of a rare and wonderful set of vinyl we'll probably never see again. They sound so incredible on my Martin Logans, I can hear the ambiance and mixdown of the recording sessions! As for any "clipping" please ignore the nitpicks and graph-watchers and continue doing EXACTLY what you're doing to bring us these impeccible recordings.

Thanks.Great uploads.

@luwhuo

A audio waveform that shows visible peaks clipping is clipping. Whether we can all hear such clipping is another thing. All I ask is the author (and other respected vinyl posters) to review these waveforms and see perhaps if there is room for improvement. We all want the best pure sound. That is what this forum is for.

@VanPelten
While I've personally never been a big fan of LP rips, I have to admit your Sinatra albums are exceptional. Thanks for the great work and classy posts.

@rsfoto
That's funny, but when I do a search on Avaxhome, I can't find that you've posted anything. Nothing, nada, bupkis! So why not post some vinyl rips of your own and show everyone here how it's done, okay?

Once again, I commend Mr. VanPelten on these exceptional posts! And for the *record*, I hear no clips or clops - just superlative audio reproduction...thanks in no short order, to your remarkable analog equipment!

Wow!! These really do sound just real nice. Yeah,like others have said. Congrats with being the proud owner of this set. This is going to be sweet. Ohh! :)

Thanks again.. And yeah,take it slow & easy. You can't hurry quality,no no. ;)

@ cdfreako You made me finally breakdown and do my first Avax post of one of my vinyl rips. I have 24/96 rips of the first 10 LPs from the MFSL Beatles collection. I am sure the first postings may not be perfect. But there is no clipping on my stuff.

@ VanPelton, Please don't take my original post as ungrateful criticism. Your recent DVD-A rips were first rate. Your postings and all the other contributers on this most excellent website has made the downloading of fine music a full time job. I hope to make a valuable contribution to AvaxHome in the coming weeks and months. My thanks to all those who take the time to share.

@rsfoto: No problem whatsoever, comments and criticism come with the turf. I've been on the music sharing scene for quite awhile, and if you thought your comment was ungrateful, you should read the vitriolic exchanges on Usenet binary groups. I monitor through a pair of Stax Omega headphones while ripping vinyl, letting let my ears dictate the levels...for better or worse. I'm happy you're sharing your Beatles MFSL LPs with us; I still have my complete set (along with the Rolling Stones MFSL vinyl box), so if you'd like me to fill in with the discs you don't have after I've completed the Sinatra set, let me know. Once again, welcome to Avaxhome as a contributor!

@cdfreako: While your comments are well-meaning, neither I nor my ego require any defense of my posts, I stand by them for better or worse. These issues have a way of evolving into flame-throwing contests, so lets all keep the rhetoric and innuendos down and enjoy the music.
