Another new series on the STS Digital Label is: 'The Essence of Music'. These series have a completely different technical point of view. Here we work with so-called 'close-miking techniques', to bring out the essence of the music completely. It goes without saying that we do not use reverb or other side-equipment, as it would only lead to an annoying deformation. Naturally we will pay attention to the ambiance of the space, as well as to the miking technique, but the whole picture will sound more close and intimate, and is therefore well suited for jazz, unplugged pop, folk music, etc
