Jean Patrick Capdevielle - Atylantos

Originally designed as a vehicle for Capdevielle protege Emma Shapplin, with a story within the story.

Emma Shapplin is a trademark name, concocted by and belonging to Jean Patrick Capdevielle and his Pendragon Records label. The person hired to perform as Emma Shapplin, was Crystèle Joliton, who was chosen as much for her good looks as her singing voice.

Still using the name Emma Shapplin, Joliton's work on the Red Planet soundtrack was actually recorded in breach of her contract with the Pendragon label.

Capdevielle then promptly selected three equally gorgeous and vocally stunning female vocalists to sing in Atylantos. Regardless of the circumstances, Chiara Zeffirell, Elena Cojocaru, Jade Laura d'Angelis and tenor Nikola Todorovich all do great jobs on the Atylandos project.

The soundtrack was composed by Graeme Revell, an outstanding film score talent. In addition to the tracks performed by Crystèle Joliton under the name of Emma Shapplin, the film score includes some fine licks by Sting and Peter Gabriel, as well as others.
