Jazz

How My Heart Sings! is a 1962 album by jazz musician Bill Evans, recorded at the same time as Moonbeams. Just as on Moonbeams, we are introduced here to new Evans originals, additions to a growing and impressive catalogue, like "Walking Up" and the exhilarating "Show-Type Tune" in which the pianist puts on his best Bud Powell hat, knocking off line after line of thrillingly executed runs. Add Earl Zindar's haunting title track, then a nod to Dave Brubeck on the two takes of the latter's "In Your Own Sweet Way" and How My Heart Sings! stands as the most varied Bill Evans set since his breakthrough Everybody Digs Bill Evans.

Recorded at Sound Makers Inc, New York, New York on May 17 & 29 and June 5, 1962. Originally released on Riverside (9473).

Note from LD: Sorry, the log is corrupt - the log file and the ape file and cue file
were originally DL'd through ed2k/e-mule.
The accurip test could not verify the disc but it sounds fantastic so is unlikely
to be a fake. Converted to FLAC by me, using CUETools.

LD: Thanks for the share, but I get the following error message using Burrrn, having tried various settings:

ERROR: C:\Program Files\Burrrn\burrrn.toc:2: Illegal catalog number: OG VICJ-60373.

Any hints on how this might be solved will be appreciated.

I've never used Burrn - and it seems strange that it won't burn it just because of an "illegal catalogue number."
The best software to use for an exact copy is EAC. You may first need to use CUETools to convert the FLAC to a WAV.
Alternatively use Nero (but first split the tracks in CUETools - gaps appended to end).
You could also try opening the CUE file in notepad, and delete the line that gives the catalog number. I have researched more, and the XRCD2 was released in different regions with different catalog numbers - so that one may be wrong (I entered it myself in CUETools when performing the verification).

Deleting the catalog line did the trick, and it burned right up.
I've used Burrrn for years, and that's the first time I've seen that error. At least I'll know for future reference, should it ever occur again.
Big thanks, LD.

@ grafassi: Glad it worked!

@ Everyone: if anyone else out there can return the favour, and re-up Bill Evans Green Dolphin Street XRCD please, it would be most appreciated.

Update: Thanks to Janwal for the repost!
