Ten Years After - Texas International Pop Festival (1969)

That race track closed just a very few yrs after that concert. I local reporter got killed riding on the back of a rail job dragster that crashed and not long after that they were out of business. The track sat there abandoned for many years but I think they built something else on that site just a few years ago. I'll have to look next time I drive by there. I don't go by there very often and the area has developed so much that I am trying to figure out where I'm going, watching traffic, reading signs and trying not to get killed. That leaves me little room for sight-seeing. I drive with one eye on the road, one eye looking for cops, one eye reading street signs and one eye on a map. I also have one hand on the steering wheel, hold a cell phone with one hand, a beer in one hand and a Glock in one hand. I tell ya, I'm a busy mofo going down the interstate at twice the speed limit.
