Brian Eno - Nerve Net | MP3 320Kb | 144Mb
| “ | For the record, Nerve Net was not Brian Eno's first attempt at rock & roll. Not counting his time with Roxy Music, he also made several solo albums in the 1970s that were clearly intended as approaches to pop music — they were sideways approaches, of course, shaped by the intellectual distance he has always kept between himself and the music that arises from the forces that he puts into motion, and they were far from unqualified successes. But this is his most rocking solo album in years, and also his funkiest. That's not say it's either funky or rock & roll, but it does manage to be lots of fun in a slightly inhuman, claustrophobically funky sort of way. The list of participants includes several of the usual suspects (Robert Fripp, Robert Quine, Roger Eno), as well as a few surprises (Benmont Tench, John Paul Jones) and a raft of unknowns. The sound, which doesn't vary much from track to track, is compressed and dense, with lots of heavily treated and synthesized percussion. On "What Actually Happened," for example, drummer Richard Bailey plays a distinctly organic funk part through what sounds like a battery of effects, while a bassist and guitarist do indistinguishable things and Eno messes around with everything and throws in samples. "Juju Space Jazz" features both Quine and Fripp (the latter credited with "early '50s club guitar") as well as Eno playing such instruments as "African organ" and "tenor fax" (har har). Overall, this album is quite fun but nothing to get too awfully excited about. | ” |

Babelfish translate your comment this way;
"Thanks for the album! I now await my turn to the gallop, but to one album - 4 files... Indeed Rapidshara does make possible to place files to 100Mb, why then it to quarter pieces to place them on for rapid speed? To the running off of this album will leave 4-5 it is hour and not one hour, as it would be desirably..."
This album is 144Mb, so i had to at least upload two files.
Why dont i deliver less, but bigger files?
I did that in the beginning, but when i go over 40Mb i cant use my PC to nothing else than upload. It takes so much resources so i cant even play music while i uploading...
So until i get me an newer PC or two of them i have to do it that way. Sorry.
About waiting an hour for next download.
If you can change IP on your connection, there are no problems i think.
and please, continue to upload in the method that best suits yourself. an RS premium account is a small price to pay for all the wonderful music etc, made available every day by people like yourself. :-)
Regards,
ls..
Thank you serial - all your work is always appreciated (at least by some of us) :))
(and I agree with all of the above - upload files as is most convenient for yourself - free is free however you look at it)
Mr. AvaxHome....suggestion....open a Vendor Paypal account and have a donation page for those of us that understand the needs of our Administrator and the importance of keeping a site such as this up and running. Maybe the members can help pay for your new server?
I will not pay for Avax`s server.
I have payd for the music i post here.
I pay the telefoncompany for their service.
I do my best to share only quality and music
that you not find everywhere.
I am one of many doing this place to one of
the best boards on the web.
If anyone need to be paid, its us uppers....
Good to have said that :-)
Please dont give up. Mojabe and Bully are here still.
But what about make our own HQ server. Only 320Kb Stereo files can be posted. Only peoples that at least write some words in comments are allowed to download. No vinylrips (oops.. there goes Bully(and i who promised myself never tell an vinyljoke again)).
Well this looks like the place they usualy play harp.
And you like harps Alejx, so i think it will be just good :-)))
Just one note about your ideas of a beerdeer HQ server:
1. Good servers cost good money! The higher the monthly access by users, the higher the cost for the server.
2. Good servers need also to be maintained and adminstrated. If you ever did, you know how much work it is.
3. Besides the typical complaints about your uplod you will also have to deal with additional complaints about the server itself :-)
So, all in all, I think it is not a bad choice to have our home at AvaxHome and let them handle the server. No matter of the advertisement, I do not think Avax is getting rich by this. He still has the right spirit!
