I believe it is an interesting post because the majority of those who closely followed this year Chopin Competition labeled Yulianna Avdeeva's 1st prize as controversial. The controversy arose because she does not excelled other players in term of technical superiority nor she understands how to play Chopin in any way. It was an arithmetic average win supported by the last minute Competition rules changes.

hoho; doesn't suprise me in the least. What were the reasons this time? Is she more beautiful than the runner-up, then, or does one of the jury members have a fling on her?

I think she has good management and reasonable practical approach. Also Yamaha which she used is fairly aggressive on the scene. I know that Japan jury member gave zero to Avdeeva's main rival because she the juror went out (!) when he was playing and it's turn out to be the decisive point. Anyway may be she is a good pianist but not in a Chopin style.

By the way, I cuold not open the :ts file but I converted it to DVD - 5.1 Ch. with ConvetxtoDVD and it works beautifully.

welcome, yes because ts format is a transport stream format it's not supported by most of the codecs, sorry I didn't have time and a good software to convert and upload.
