Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concertos 3,4,5, Fur Elise, Rondo in C - Artur Schnabel, Malcolm Sargent w/ London Philharmonic Orchestra, w/ London Symphony Orchestra
2 CDs, 109:55 | A D D | Naxos | EAC, FLAC tracks, No CUE, No Logs | LQ Covers | RS | 359 MB
Classical - Classical period | Orchestral Music - Piano Concerto, Instrumental Music - Piano Solo | Composed 1797-1811 | Recording 1932-35

Classics Today:
Schnabel is captured on his finest, loftiest form, both musically and pianistically. Listen, for instance, to his ravishing, pearly scale passages and intense, heavenly trills in the slow movements, or to the incredible vitality and brio that he brings to both concertos' outer movements. The latter abound with meaningful accents, red-blooded dynamic surges, and harmonically oriented phrasing (for example, the slight rhythmic displacements in the G major concerto's first-movement development).
The orchestra is well recorded for the era, and Malcolm Sargent's energetic, sturdy accompaniments belie any notions of him as a mere timebeater. If anything, he provides a more pointed and shapely orchestral framework for Schnabel than he did for either Mark Hambourg or Benno Moiseiwitsch in their respective recordings of the Third Concerto.. - Jed Distler

Works:
Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No.3 in C minor Op. 37
Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No.4 in G major Op. 58

Thanks for sharing, but I think this work isn't too accurate. Let's see: Disk 1 should be Naxos 8.110639 (as show cover) with seven tracks (3 for Konzert 3, 3 for Konzert 4 and 1 for the Rondo in C). Disk 2 should contain Naxos 8.110640 with six tracks (3 for Emperor Konzert, 3 for Cello Sonata Nr.2). No reason to include 'für Elise'. So I don´t understand very well your post, I expect your explanations...

Thanks a lot for your answer!

I haven't organized the download as per the published CDs. PCs 1,2 are already available on Avax, so I avoided them here. Op. 5/2 is available as part of the complete Cello sonatas (check my blog). The remaining works from the 3 CDs are included here. If you like to preserve the CD organization, sorry. The only integrity I care for is that the whole of a work be present (highlights, suites exempted) and that it be the same performance.

Of course posters can post what they want but it more helpful to post cds as they are published rather than edited by posters. The ripping of these discs caused some problems for me as i rip to itunes and had to add all the tiles by hand. Tant pis you might say but your post did make life more complicated for yourself and me. I am sure you were trying to be helpful and thanks for the post

Usually, I do post as per CDs, but I didn't want to duplicate content.
