Wow, haven't listened to this album in a long time. Listening to it again I wonder why I actually purchased it. While the performance is spiritual, serene, subdued...etc., after about 3 tracks I reach overload and listen to something with a little more earthly delight. I love Gregorian chant...really, I just prefer it in smaller doses. When this album came out I couldn't wait to own a copy, but after about 1-2 listens I put it away. Back in the 90's Enigma had just come out with their own version of dance floor chant intertwined with overt sexuality and the combination was amazingly powerful. Subsequently Chant was able to crossover into the mainstream leading to a flurry of sequels--all of which sound...well, the same. There are more lively, more dynamic chant performances out there so don't let this one put you off.

Thanks for not killing the RS links, Goodspeed! Maybe you didn't notice due to a language barrier, but you've quoted a very negative review in your post! Anyway, I love this stuff, it's very relaxing, and in audiophile MFSL too! Great post :)
