Chopin: Mazurkas, Valses & autres danses / Arthur Schoonderwoerd
Romantic | 2003 | 1 CD | 221 Mb | APE/CUE/LOG/SCANS | Rs.Com

This recording reconstructs an imaginary ball of the 1840’s, with all dances to Chopin’s polonaises, ländler, écossaises, mazurkas… The use of a piano by Ignaz Pleyel built in 1836 gives a special dimension to the light character and graceful tone of these dances.

Arthur Schoonderwoerd, pianoforte

Pianoforte Ignace Pleyel 1836

Enregistré en décembre 2002 à Paris

Awesome post, brilliant recording!
Pleyel and Chopin were friends; imagine Chopin played that very same fortepiano
Schoonderwald is playing...
THANKS!
