In composing his Pièces de clavecin en concerts, Rameau (1683-1764) created a grand work of chamber music, and at the same time, the first-ever piano trios. The independence of the instrumental parts achieved here far surpasses what Haydn, Mozart and even Beethoven did in their piano trios. It is not until Schubert that we meet with trio writing of comparably elaborate texture. Trio Arcangelo Corelli formed in 1984. At first they worked intensely on early Italian violin music, especially on Corelli’s sonatas, and therefore chose the great Roman master as their "patron saint." Based in Düsseldorf, they have given innumerable concerts and made radio and CD recordings.

Seems that you haven`t read the doc that I call (ironically)"Note for Shareholders" that I always attach in my uploads in the ed2k net. It's really a big job/issue to say: "thanks to the original uploader"? Why???
Anyway, not problem at all to see my uploads in avax .. It's just that I can't understand why people are so bad-mannered these days ...

Hello! At first let me say thank you for all those superb uploads. Maybe I'm too blind to see or maybe I'm even dumb but I can't open the packed files. Tried all avax.... passwords I know - no chance. Please help!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much

Don

Very nice compositions! However, the information blurb about them passing Mozart and Beethoven in quality is very silly. Still, very entertaining music from one of the Baroque's second-level composers.

Thanks, kantatenwerk and Jazzmen.

@Scion77(rec): The blurb discusses independence of parts and texture, rather than hypothetical quality. Silly to rate Rameau as "second-level".
