Aldo Clementi, 86 years old, passed away few days ago (on 4 March 2011): it was an outstanding protagonist of the musical scene since the second half of Ninety Century. Born at Catania, pupil of Goffredo Petrassi, attending courses at Darmstadts from 1955 to 1962, one of the Nuova Consonanza founder, taking part in Milan's Phonological Studio from 1952-62, many critics approached his music language to Pollock and Calder paintings (in particular the compositions "Informel", "Varianti" and "Reticoli"). From 1972 to 1991 he was professor of Musical Theory at Bologna's Dams University
