Double Edge - U.S. Choice (1992)
Classical | EAC (APE, CUE & LOG) | 169 MB

★★★★★ Peachfuzz's Selection of the Month

When pianists Edmund Niemann and Nurit Tilles first met in 1978, they certainly had that aggressively modernist definition in mind. Both were members of Steve Reich and Musicians; both were fascinated with minimalism; both were drawn to the cutting edge of New York’s downtown new-music scene. Since their first concerts, arranged with Reich’s help, the duo-pianists were expanding their repertoire, moving back through the twentieth century and embracing new music of a broader stylistic range and it is from those works that U.S. Choice is drawn.

You'll always seduce me if there is a piano involved.... so I am downloading. Long time no see. Mooh and CioCio have been extremely active and I have some Schoenberg conducted by Schoenberg for sharing. Told CioCio who posted a Pierrot Lunaire. Have same work with Steuermann at the piano, Kolisch plays violin and viola.... Jeasus, can't find the CD... but it is a Sony Masterworks, those amazing Historial reissues on CD. I promise I will upload. GOT IT! Erika Stiedry-Wagner, Recitation; Rudolf Kolisch, Violin and Viola / Bratschel alto, Stefan Auber, cello; Eduard Steuermann, piano; Leopold Posella, Flute & Piccolo; Kalman Bloch, Clarinet and Bass clarinet. Conductor: Schoenberg. This is coupled with a Trio for Violin, Viola and Cello OP. 45 where the Juilliard Quartet intervenes: Robert Mann, violin; Raphael Hillyer, Viola; Claus Adam, cello. I will up it asap... [promised to do so earlier but got caught up on other matters.... MY APOLOGIES]
AH! also saw Hopscotch is back!
