Philip Glass: Satyagraha DVD (2001)
An Opera in Three Acts

Sanskrit | DVD5 (Aspect Ratio: 1.33:1) | Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo | 168 minutes | 4.28 GB
Composer: Philip Glass | Conductor: Dennis Russell Davies | Label: Image Entertainment
Subtitles: English

Recorded live from the Wurttembergishches Staatstheater Stuttgart, Grosses Haus, this luminous, visionary opera tells the story of how Mahatma Gandhi developed the philosophy of satyagraha, nonviolent active resistance, as a political revolutionary tool to fight oppression, connecting his lifework to three historical figures who advanced his philosophy: the celebrated Russian writer Leo Tolstoy, the great Indian poet and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore and the heroic American civil rights leader Martin Luther King. The libretto is comprised of passages from "The Bhagavad-Gita," India's greatest philosophical epic, and perfectly complements Glass' ravishing score, mysteriously transporting the audience with a serene power and an all-encompassing sense of peace.

Impossible to download with Firefox, not the first time, download with success with Chrome, very surprising, tried over 15 times with Firefox without result, incomplete file or 0k.

Thank for Philip Glass

Do the links take you to a phishing site? Do you expect premium members to give you their username & password? Why can't you provide standard links?

I hope I'm wrong

Thank you very much !

Thanks for the RS-links !

No phishing: RS have renewed their site ! For premium users: click on "My RapidShare" then enable "direct download"

Looks like rapidshare is "waging a war" against free users. Anyway, Install Java 1.6 and JDownloader, people who are having problems with firefox.

And, not the first time I say it, but maybe it's time to give up rapidcrap and focus on better sites, like hotfile, megaupload and (actually) dozens of others.

Rapidshare sucks.

Looks like rapidshare is waging war against everybody.

For the moment I'm not able to download from Rapidshare. I use Internet Download Manager and after nearly complete downloading it gets stuck on 100% completed :-(
I'm now trying tot use JDownloader so far no success either ..., maybe a firefox problem ?

I hope you didn't delete those RAR files you downloaded.

I too have the same problem with GetRight. However, here's a workaround to solve the problem. If you're on PC, open windows explorer and select "Tools --> Folder Options" at the top. Then choose View tab and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types". Now find the RAR files and simply delete whatever extension is appended after "xxx.RAR".

For example, this is the name of file 1 with the GetRight extension at the end:
"peachfuzz_satyadvd.part01.rar.getright"

Simply delete the "getright" extension and rename the file as "peachfuzz_satyadvd.part01.rar"

However, Rapidshare is becoming real pain in the you know what. Is it time to migrate? I also have Megaupload and Hotfile premium accounts.

Internet Dowload Manager has added a workaround for rapidshare.com site changes, on sept. 29 2010 for version 6.03 beta and version 5.19 build 4. I have not tried it yet.

JDownloader is working fine now and is downloading RS files without problems. They guys of Jdownloader also had to update their RS-pluging because of changes on the rapidshare.com site. I think I will stick to JDownloader for the time being.

I suppose GetRight will bring an update too.

There are still a lot of old files online on RS and that makes it hard to leave RS. And then there is the for the moment no other accepted alternative standard. I think one might need at least four other premium accounts: Megaupload, Hotfile, Fileserve, Filesonic and maybe Uploading. Not a nice prospective..

thank you very much peachfuzz, always posting good stuff.

for those firefox users, I combine it with "down them all" plugin and I have no problems despite of the fact is RS, MU or whatever.
