Label: Hyperion | cat. no CDA66220
While awaiting a next series of cd orders to arrive at my place, I got a request from an elderly lady to copy this Britten cd she borrowed from an acquaintance of hers.
I didn’t have this particular release of the Ceremony of Carols, so of course I decided to keep a copy myself and post it here.
It’s Hyperion, and it’s a British boy choir; that should not leave us any doubt as to the quality of this release.
I’m looking forward to an insightful - or perhaps alarming - movie about singing practices in English churches. Must be quite spectacular, considering the incredible performance level of the kids.
