Although I chose this cd mainly for Gubaidulina’s “Punkte, Linien und Zickzak”, I’m quite happy it contained Gorecki’s “Lerchenmusik” as well, of which I didn’t have a lossless version yet. The title of this impressive work doesn’t refer to the elegant lark, daintily flying to and fro; Gorecki was commissioned by his host Louise Lerche-Lerchenborg, organiser of the annual Lerchenborg festival for classical music, and he named the piece after her. It’s a heavy, slowly moving composition for cello, piano and clarinet, slightly minimalistic in its approach. Quite beautiful.
Gubaidulina’s very powerful piece shows her as the experimentalist she basically is, always trying to find ways to derive unfamiliar sounds from conventional instruments. In this case, the piano isn’t played through the keys; it’s the strings themselves that are touched by the player’s hands (and sometimes he uses coins). Main role is for the clarinet, though. It’s positioned right in front of the piano’s soundboard, creating fantastic reverberations. The composer teaches us everything there is to know about the sound of the clarinet.

grazie infinite d'Avignon!
The Philips version mentioned by Antidatum I have downloaded in 2008, probably via Demonoid.
If you can upload that Demonoid rip please let me know, for the original CD I mentioned is at my friend now and some time is needed to get it back.
BTW, on Soulseek people recommend a very nice setup guide for EAC: http://blowfish.be/eac/Setup/setup1.html
I've printed the tutor and I've to study all the stuff and perform some trials.
I've found the Philips version. It is burned, so I've to rip it. The original artwork is not there, but I've made copies of the front and back.
Please be patient.
Ai...I'm not sure if I would be the best tutor, considering the fact my posts frequently take two or three attempts on average before pasha accepts them. For the mods, the meaning of the entries "music/language" and "content language" seems to change at my every post.
Best advice: do it exactly as described on the FAQ page for lossless posts. More importantly, keep on sending in the posts without feeling frustrated by the refusals you'll get. Because you're going to get them, no doubt. Adjust the posts; if mr. mod wants you to turn black into white, do as requested; and if, at the second refusal, he wants you to change white back into black again, don't get angry but do so and don't complain you had it right the first time.
In short, don't let this surrealistic process of posting on avax get on your nerves. Read George Orwell's "Animal Farm" and realize us posters are the Sheep, and Napoleon Is Always Right, hm.
