Warning:
To play this CD you need a DVD player that can support DTS and a surround system that is capable of decoding the DTS signal.
On a computer you need a DTS decoder (VLC player, PowerDVD, ac3file etc.) plus surround speakers - or you will only hear 2 channels even with a DTS decoder.

Don't play this on equipment that isn't compatible because you'll only hear static!

why upload this wonderful album in a format that most users can't use???
not all of us have this equipment :(

@Murgatroyd:
The point is, always distribute high quality and the best original. If the uploader can provide both version (dts & mp3) it would be great. Up to you the to convert it, but uploader already warned you and use VLC !. Thanks to uploader !

Great uplaoad. Thanks.
Sorry Murgatroyd, but we that have this equipament deserve this quality enhancement. In my opinion, the uploads must ever be using the maximum quality available.

@ Murgatroyd McGillicuddy :
I somehow agree with you. Not everyone can enjoy these DTS CDs in their full bright.
But many people nowadays own a DVD Player with a Surround system, because they are almost cheap.
And as already said: With VLC you can listen to these CDs on a "normal PC with stereo sound" - but missing the "wow" effect ;-(
And downmixing to Stereo (FLAC or MP3): I´m sure there will be more critics here about the "right mix"
But if you wanna give it a try: you can split the DTS wavefiles to 6 Monowaves and then re-edit them. (I use normally Sony Vegas for the re-editing and DVD Audio Extractor to get the 6 Mono Files) But I only do this for my private joy ;-)

Or try Tranzcode (great Freeware) to get the 6 Mono waves from the DTS Wave - or a stereo sound at once:
http://www.digital-digest.com/software/download.php?sid=372&ssid=0&did=1
and then load the files in your prefered audio editor to make a new Stereo Mix. Just play around.

This is an example of the first song, converted from DTS wave to MP3 320 kbps.
I used Tranzcode to get the Stereo File directly from the DTS, no manual downmix! and then Lame to get the MP3 - all Freeware programs.

http://rapidshare.com/files/196416938/Mutter-01-_stereo_.mp3
Traffic Share on that file is enabled, so even RS free users get the file directly.

If that´s acceptable for you, I can upload the CD in MP3 Stereo format. Mostly for people with low bandwith or not able to play Surround sound. I definitly won´t upload a Stereo Flac file. Please download the DTS, and convert it to Stereo with Tranzcode. It´s free and fast and easy !

Thanks again mad-mex. I have a question: How can I record these wav files? DVD ISO? DVD Video? I tried Nero without success. This will be my first DVD Audio.
Posted By: mad-mex Date: 10 Feb 2009 16:46:00
@ mgirao :
Burn it with Nero as a normal Audio CD (choose no pause between tracks)
Your DVD player will detect DTS and play this CD with Surround Sound.

This is a "Rip from a DVD Audio Disc". Converted to DTS Audio CD.
Maindifference: DVD has 48khz and CD 44.1Khz. Same bitrate.

DTS Wave is some kind of lossy - same bitrate as used for Stereo LPCM now holds 6 Tracks.
But of course DTS is more close to Lossless than AC3 is.
Hope I explained it well ;-)

If anyone wants to download the Original DVD AUDIO, here´s a link to a textfile containing the download links - all on Rapidshare. DVD 5 ISO - 3.5 GB.

(Traffic Share enabled for textfile - The DVD-A is not Watermarked)

all you need is powerDVD, an audiocard 5+1 (like genius sound maker value 5.1 - $15-20) and PC home theather.
I do this and I enjoy a DTS audio!!!

thank you very much

Many thanks again mad-mex. Long life to you in this community.

Dear mad-mex
I burned the original DVD Audio as you sugested and realized that it´s not DTS but Dolby 3/2. So, I´am confused as the CD was presumible generated from this DVD. How can a DTS be generated from Dolby 3/2?
Excuse me if I´am saying no sense things.
Again, many thanks for the upload.

mgirao :
The DVD contains "Advanced Resolution 48/24 Sound" - both Stereo and Surround.
LPCM or in case of Surround it´s DTS. Kill me if I´m wrong ;-)
Apart from that, there´s a AC3 Dolby Surround, so this DVD should play on every DVD standalone - Pure Audio DVDs won´t.
So in an Audio DVD Player you can hear the "Advanced Resolution Sound" while on a DVD Video player you only hear the AC3 Dolby. (VIDEO_TS / AUDIO_TS folders)
But yes, it´s a 5 Channel Surround Sound. Encoding this to 5.1 with Surcode DTS Encoder isn´t that hard.... ;-) Just guess which channel will be "the one".

I hope that my respond doesnt cause more questions, but if so: feel free to ask.

btw - the good thing about DTS CDs is this: they play fine in every DVD player with DTS decoder and Surround system. DVD Audio Disc cries for a DVD Audio player.

Dear mad-mex thanks for the upload, I am interested in the original dvd-audio iso but the following link seems to be broken

http://rapidshare.com/files/196457483/Mutter_Audio_DVD.txt

Would you be so kind as to repost?

I am very interested in any 24/192 khz sources available, as I own a dvd-audio player and the software needed to burn it correctly.

fardrum :

Unfortunately I can´t help you ;-(
Mojave Production (desert rat) has closed down all his blogs (for well known reasons)
He won´t post or publish his collection once again, too much trouble.
Even all the files on Rapidshare are deleted.
So maybe you get lucky by using Google, using mojave production, desertrat, or the title of the Audio DVD... Maybe there are still torrents around there.
Because of my slow upload speed (128kbs = max. 14 KBs) I´m unable to upload the DVD - needs weeks to get this done.

Sorry, and good luck !
