From ClassicalCDGuide.com:
| “ | The string sextet is a rare form in chamber music, and hearing these masterpieces makes one wonder why more composers don't try their hand at writing for six instruments. The addition of the extra viola and cello to the traditional string quartet allows the composer to create extremely rich harmonies without sacrificing the melody. Especially noteworthy are the second movement of the first sextet, which is a set of variations on an eight-bar harmonic theme, and the third movement of the second sextet, which begins slowly and comes to a rousing climax. This recording features an all-star cast of chamber musicians who play as if they were a long-established ensemble. | ” |

Dedicated to my AvaxHome friends, and to Flush, iceshoweronfire, and all those who have contributed and/or enjoyed the Climax Project. I'm so glad I got to contribute this small offering to such a worthy cause!
Technical note: These are FLAC images, with cuesheets and EAC logs provided. The FLAC files also have the cuesheets and logs embedded as FLAC tags, as well. If that means nothing to you, don't worry. However, Foobar2000 and Burrrn support playback and burning, respectively, with embedded cuesheets, without the need for the external cuesheet. Foobar2000 also supports splitting and/or transcoding the images to individual tracks, if so desired.

...and thanks for *only* two files. =;-)
I confirm fine, same problem here
Downloaded twice the same file,
Winrar 3.60 find errors,
I've extracted files (using keep broken file) but decoding the flac file I obtain that it's "truncated or otherwise corrupt"
waiting for a fix thank you very much for posting this album.

I will be editing this post with the new link. Until it updates, use the links here. Again, sorry about that!!
Where both iceshoweronfire and myself have to give up, you step in and do what needs to be done for project Climax. Glad to see you got it working now. My deepest respect and gratitude. Regards... Flush :-)
Thx for the share. But what's with the naming convention? Why "Climax Team Project: 1 missing album" rather than "Brahms: String Sextets, Op.18 & 36"? Just curious.
usually I follow the convention of titling the post with the album title. Here, I wanted to make it clear for those who are closely following the Climax project that this belongs in that group. Besides, the album title is present in the front cover pic and in the bold text below- not hard to see ;)
