Buck Satan & 666 Shooters - Bikers Welcome! Ladies Drink Free (2011)
EAC Rip | FLAC + CUE + LOG | 443 Mb | Covers | 50:30
Genre: Heavy Western/Country Core

Ministry mastermind Al Jourgensen with the debut album for his new project, Buck Satan and the 666 Shooters. Jourgensen and his new group released their first psycho-country/metal album entitled, 'Bikers Welcome! Ladies Drink Free.'
The concept for Buck Satan came in the death of Jourgensen's longtime country music hero, Buck Owens. Just prior to Owens' death, the country musician "blessed" Buck Satan and the 666 Shooters, inspiring Jourgensen to give his all to the new project.
Along with Buck Satan (Jourgensen), the 666 Shooters hail from Hell Paso and include longtime Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen, former Static-X and current Ministry bassist Tony Campos and Ministry / Rigor Mortis guitarist Mike Scaccia. Various guest musicians will also serve as in-studio contributors to add fiddles, cellos, pedal steel guitars, mandolins, banjos and more to the eclectic mix. Jourgensen has described the sound of the new project as "Heavy Western" and "Country Core."

So this is what it comes to in the 21st century music business. Since they busted into the big leagues in 1999, Montgomery Gentry's five previous studio albums (and a greatest-hits collection) have all cracked the Country Top Ten. In addition, each album has been certified gold or platinum. Of the 20-plus singles they've released to date, 13 have landed in the Top Ten -- including the title track from 2008's Back When I Knew It All. It's a hell of a track record. Montgomery Gentry don't write much of their material, but they don't need to.....

Legend would have it that Rock'N'Roll was born in Memphis in 1954 when a young truck-driver by the name Elvis Presley opted to sing "Black Blues" his way. A legend that drastically over-simplifies reality, however, for the roots of Rock'N'Roll are already to be found in the early recordings of Blues, Jazz and Country music of the mid-1920. This collection, created by Gérard Herzhaft, shows that the Rock 'n' Roll was not born with Bill Haley and Elvis Presley but before, the fusion of Rhythm and Blues, Western Swing, Country, Gospel - or the whole of popular music from the early twentieth century. This collection has become indispensable, because the history of interbreeding reveals the crystallization and the formation of gender identity as the history of amplified music...

Patsy Cline - Walking After Midnight (2008) 2 cd

Country | 2008 Not Now | 5% recovery record | Source: Internet

One of the greatest singers in the history of country music, Patsy Cline also helped blaze a trail for female singers to assert themselves as an integral part of the Nashville-dominated country music industry. She was not alone in this regard; Kitty Wells had become a star several years before Cline's big hits in the early '60s. Brenda Lee, who shared Cline's producer, did just as much to create a country-pop crossover during the same era; Skeeter Davis briefly enjoyed similar success. Cline has the most legendary aura of any female country singer, however, perhaps due to an early death that cut her off just after she had entered her prime.

Gretchen Wilson - One Of The Boys (2007)
EAC Rip | FLAC (Image) + CUE + LOG | Covers | 254 MB
Genre: Country/Country-Pop | Label: Columbia Nashville | Catalog Number: 89201
RAR 5% Rec. | Rapidshare + FilePost | Release Date: May 15, 2007

Gretchen Wilson set the country music charts on fire with her smash single "Redneck Woman" and her debut album, Here for the Party (2004). The track -- though composed by colleague John Rich (of Big & Rich) -- became an anthem for women all over America. Written especially for Wilson, it is from-the-gut, working-class feminism for the post-feminist age, straightforwardly sung with a celebratory vengeance. As a slice-of-life singer who embodied and brought to life each cut on the album, she became an "overnight sensation." Her follow-up, All Jacked Up (2005), was recorded and rushed out by Sony a year later.....

Bob Dylan - Nashville Skyline (1969)
Eac Rip | Flac, Img+Cue, Log | 176 MB | 27,13 min. | Scans
Label: Columbia | Country, Country Rock | April 1969 | RAR 3% Rec.

Nashville Skyline is singer-songwriter Bob Dylan's ninth studio album, released by Columbia Records in April 1969. The album marked a dramatic departure for Dylan, previously known for his groundbreaking, poetic folk music and rock'n'roll. Nashville Skyline, building on a rustic style he experimented with on John Wesley Harding, displayed a complete immersion into country music. Along with the more basic themes, simple songwriting structures, and charming domestic feel, it introduced audiences to a radically new singing voice from Dylan — a soft, affected country croon. The result received mostly positive reaction from critics at the time, and was a commercial success. Reaching number 3 in the US, the album also scored Dylan his fourth UK number 1 album.

This is a good solid disc that shows a lot of promise -- there is nothing groundbreaking or revolutionary here, but the album displays some very good songwriting that sticks within the blues genre. There is a good bit of quality slide and Dobro guitar playing, and there are even a couple of tunes on which the producer of the disc, John Mooney.....

Since the release of Tattoos & Scars in 1999, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry have been making consistently fine country-rock records and videos (the latter thanks in large part to the wonderful director Trey Fanjoy). While their albums translate to CMT and GAC -- and of course to the Billboard charts -- the duo has never been comfortable making one kind of recording. They dig deep with their producers -- in this case Mark Wright is primary -- to find the best songs and let them rip. Guitars roar, wail, and whisper, and Montgomery Gentry's wonderfully contrasting voices and passionate, down-home delivery tie them to the great traditions of both rock and country....
