Major Dundee is a good old fashioned music. Daniele Amfitheatrof composed identifying themes for various character elements. We hear the catchy Major Dundee theme throughout which sounds like a constant call to rally behind him and his obsessive mission. There is a romantic love melody, southern musical references for the gentlemen of the South and a reoccurring theme for the invading French lancers. The battle music is frenetic and equally rousing.
