Jason Matthews - Hicotine (2008)

Jason Matthews, the hit songwriter that co-wrote Billy Currington's Number One smash, "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right," has released his debut album, Hicotine. Matthews wrote or co-wrote all thirteen songs on the album.

The first single, "That's What Mamas Do," is a powerful tribute to mothers everywhere and is currently shooting up the Music Row Country Breakout chart. Matthews won Music Row's Breakthrough Writer of the Year in 2006.

Hicotine proves Matthews to be more than just another Nashville songwriter, as his soulful delivery maneuvers easily between country-rocker anthems like the title track "Hicotine" to the thoughtful ballad "That's What Mamas Do."
