Thanks, I've read the text file on the RAR. Did you mean that it needs to be copied on a normal CD instead of a DVD? What should be the difference from a normal CD? wouldn't it be better to keep it as mp3? at least it wouldn't fill so much...

Merry Christmas from Denmark

I tried burning it to a DVD with the original .nrg file. Nero gave me an error message that it should be burned to a Audio CD. The files are in .wav format, they are encoded with the DTS info. I would think if you tried to convert them to MP3 they would lose the encoding. But I am not an expert at this, I just wanted it to work on my DVD/CD player. It only worked correctly on the PC with WinDVD. These DTS audio files are flaky on your player if you don't encode them right. I tested this before I uploaded it, and the DTS light lit up on my receiver when I played the CD on my player and it went to track 2 and played music instead of static, unlike the 3 coasters I made before figuring this out.

just audio???does it have any image?
Posted By: philbert Date: 12 Dec 2005 07:03:30
spotlight... you must burn them to a audio cd to hear them.. if you try to play them as wav files you will just get static. You must also have a DTS decoder on your receiver to get surround. These disks must play on a dvd/cd player.. they will not work on regular cd players.

Thanks Philbert!

If I use Nero and select to make a Music CD with the .wav files, will it convert them in such way to keep the DTS format. I have no idea. What's the best way to do so.

Thanks in advance for the reply.

spotlight,

yes, nero will convert them to .cda files that will keep the dts encoding.

I have determined that some dvd/cd players have problems with these recording if you don't remove the pause between tracks. It's a box you check when you record with nero. On some dts recordings if you leave the pause, the second track will just give you static until you push the remote and make in manualy go to the next track.

Will post a Santana dts in a little while. That disk will not play track 2 after track 1 if you don't remove the pause.

The default setting in nero is a 2 second pause between tracks.

Hope this explains it enough for everyone to understand.

Thx Philbert
Looking too long for this kind of CD, finally I found it. Been tried to use some torrent seed but failed to get the complete one. Took 1 week to dl this five part (mostly because I'm busy). I test it today it sounds great on my DVD player, the DTS does lit on receiver, and it can't play on stereo mode, work on PC via Win-DVD but the sound-card+speaker couldn.t handle it. Looking forward to dl the Santana, and if you do have other DTS-CD please upload it especially those Sting, and Fletwood Mac. I wonder if you have Jazz type DTS-CD? Thx again keep up the good work.
