Ashley Beedle and Darren Morris present a new project inspired by Mavis Staples, combining the talents of a number of big name artists, inclluding Lambchop's Kurt Wagner, Edwyn Collins, Candi Staton, Ed Harcourt, John Turrell and Sarah Cracknell. The digital version of the EP that preceded this full-length release showcased many of the highlights (the Edwyn Collins track being especially effective), but additionally, standouts come from a big vocal performance by Candi Staton on 'Revolution',and a sweetly delivered 'When I Walk With You (Heartbreak Song)' by Saint Etienne singer Sarah Cracknell.
