Heart Chakra Meditation, part of Oreade Music's Wellness Music series, has a specific healing purpose: to cleanse and energize the heart chakra, the seat of emotional development in the spirit-body.
A small chamber ensemble plays a simple, haunting, heart-beat-paced refrain in four seven-minute installments. Each of these four tracks calls for specific tai chi-like body movements as described in detail in the liner notes. The movements ease the mind and create equanimity and peace in the heart. A fifth track, lush and orchestral, is a purely musical celebration of the heart, featuring Tibetan sound bowls.
