| “ | A slow drift of common events in small park - the theme of the first half of this floating mass. Surrounding sounds and voices make a feeling of calmness and harmony. However this serene being is ruined in the wink of an eye. Skies are covering with heavy turbid black smoke-screen. Ground is etched with cracks and pits. Voices are drowning in noise. The old factory launches the run of its corroded machinery... | ” |
| “ | Sparkling minimalism of keys tells for itself and paints amusing pictures. They are made in two moods: light as an airy marshmallow or chilly wind and gloomy as evil thoughts or sudden storm clouds. The light part is flashes positive cheer and sustains the calm and monotonous atmosphere. When the darker side bursts the change in a perception is evident... | ” |
| “ | The participants in this project are Jens Peschke and Andy Bloyce from Kubusschnitt. The first thing you hear on this album is a rumbling sequence which leaves you in no doubt that the territory to be explored is decidedly retro. There are Tangerine Dream references but they are mixed in equal part with Klaus Schulze and Ashra influences. The opening track title 'Klaus to the Edge' (!) makes the Schulze reference even more obvious. The guitar when used is very subtle giving colour rather than dominating as a lead instrument. The sequence provides the backbone but the accompanying atmospherics and effects are just as effective. | ” |
| “ | Celestial mechanics is a great mystery and no one knows its arrangement. Saty opens a way to cognition in art form. Deep compositions are able to give you the mental food. Monumental canvas woven from stellar energy and particles gradually forms into a solid world which destiny is foreordained. | ” |
| “ | Adept and international specialist of bansoori (a bamboo flute among the Indians of North), Andreas Ludwig attempts to produce an ethnic music slightly tinged with electronic music and progressives. Our man in particular is helped by drummer Harald Grosskopf and guitarist-keyboardist Axel Manrico Heilhecker, the duo is Sunya Beat in full force! Recorded between 1993 and 1998, parts of "Callings Of The Night" looks like an imaginary film, which leads the listener to the depths of the mysteries of the orient. Very relaxed and a kind of New Age. | ” |
| “ | On Unleft, Keith Kenniff collects previously unreleased Helios material recorded between 2000 and 2009, sequencing the resultant tracks as a self-contained album. The resultant fifty minutes plays out as a wonderfully varied sequence that focusses on melodically resonant electronic music. You'll hear some of the compositional techniques Kenniff has become known for at work, cutting a tuneful, glitched-up swathe through opener 'Convivium', while the crunchily filtered, slow-core beats of 'Friedel' and 'Distance' channel a hazy, opiated quality. | ” |
