Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Trilogy | MP3 320Kb | 96Mb

After the heavily distorted bass and doomsday church organ of Emerson, Lake & Palmer's debut album, the exhilarating prog rock of epic proportions on Tarkus, and the violent removal of the sacred aura of classical tunes on Pictures at an Exhibition, Trilogy, ELP's fourth album, features the trio settling down in more crowd-pleasing pastures. Actually, the group was gaining in maturity what they lost in raw energy. Every track on this album has been carefully thought, arranged, and performed to perfection, a process that also included some form of sterilization. Greg Lake's acoustic ballad "From the Beginning" put the group on the charts for a second time. The adaptation of Aaron Copland's "Hoedown" also yielded a crowd-pleaser. Prog rock fans had to satisfy themselves with the three-part "The Endless Enigma" and "Trilogy," both very strong but paced compositions. By 1972, Eddie Offord's recording and producing techniques had reached a peak. He provided a lush, comfy finish to the album that made it particularly suited for living-room listening and the FM airwaves. Yet the material lacks a bit of excitement. Trilogy still belongs to ELP's classic period and should not be overlooked. For newcomers to prog rock it can even make a less-menacing point of entry.

Hi Ser. Nice to see you "around" posting classics, cause E.L.P. in their days were pioneers but now and forever will be classics.

Ah! by the way. What did you said was the name of your best friend?? ..Alex or something like that??
Any news from him??

@Iceshoweronfire

Keith Emerson, the "E" in "ELP" have been my inspiration since i was 8, 9 years old. An keyboard genius. The "L" and "P" are also great. Together as an Trilogy they are just perfect.....

"What did you said was the name of your best friend?? ..Alex or something like that??"

Hey, now you get me confused. Until i saw the clock on my PC.... APRIL FIRST!!!! You dont fool me! No way mam... :-)))

I think hes with hes uncle and counting bananas. He usualy does that at this time of year :-)

You know I was lucky cause my big brother was a fan and collector of this music you usually post. So it's very familiar to me but also strange to find now that someone else gives a good try to keep up those wealthy
in "new sounds" groups. Since I was a child I've listen again and again in vinyls (33 / 45) thousands of songs from mid60's and 70's and I still believe that was the greatest period in music instead classical.

""APRIL FIRST!!!! You dont fool me! No way mam...""
Is it Alex I think... or am I wrong, even if he is ""counting bananas"" on a banana-tree or under the tree!!??

"Keith Emerson, the "E" in "ELP" have been my inspiration since i was 8, 9 years old. An keyboard genius."

May I remind you that I am still waiting to HEAR how much he inspirated YOUR keyboard play?

"You dont fool me! No way mam... :-)))"

Be glad that I have too much other things to do at the moment :-)

"... songs from mid60's and 70's and I still believe that was the greatest period in music instead classical."

Yep, it was great. Eh, still IS great. OK, there had been eggheads like Beerdeer who sold all his great vinyls, but also people like me who pridudly keep them and keep them alive for the next generations.

"You know I was lucky cause my big brother was a fan and collector of this music you usually post"

I know what you mean. You was realy lucky :-)

Great with older brothers whos interested in music. Mine ten year older brother who not only brought home much strange music, was also playing in some bands. So i was around at many rehearsals and concerts when i grow up :-)

About Alejx and the old tradition the banana-counters at canarys i cant tell much. Old secrets not for us to know. Alejx is to be the "Knight of the Holy Banana" this weekend. Thats why he disappeared without telling anything to us :-))

@Bully

You are right abou my cat. Was sleeping in my washing machine :-))

"May I remind you that I am still waiting to HEAR how much he inspirated YOUR keyboard play?"

If i did, and i never do, upload any of my works, so would you, Bully 67, ask for Celine, Yoko and worse instead :-))

Not possible. Dont have any MiniMoogs or C3s again.

"but also people like me who pridudly keep them and keep them alive for the next generations"

So please wait for the next generation, and dont publish your VRs now :-))

"PS: We are very happy that you did not born im Melmak planet :-)"

Who says so? Any prooof? Even science is still investigating the origin of beerdeers, there is no proof so far that they do NOT come from Melmark. Similiarities to ALF are many!

Compare the color of the fur. Same brown. Compare their social behavior. Full the same. Watch them eat. Full the same. And why do you think Serial did chose such an impressive cat (some weeks ago someone called it a putvull cat). A "normal" cat would have no chance to survive :-))

@ Serial

"If i did, and i never do, upload any of my works, so would you, Bully 67, ask for Celine, Yoko and worse instead :-))"

I think your works would perfectly fit as background under the sound samples grabbed from Alej's video production :-)))

"Not possible. Dont have any MiniMoogs or C3s again."

I _KNOW_ that you have the VSTI versions, so no excuse.

"So please wait for the next generation, and dont publish your VRs now :-))"

No fear. I do not feed pearls to the pigs :-;)
