Through rehearsals, gigs and love for music, these friends have become “GoJam Group”. The recording of their first album, a natural consequence to the group's route, was done live in Athens studio “Sierra” during spring 2008 together with sound engineer Giorgos Kariotis. It includes ten original compositions. The production and the orchestration it is collective work from all the band members. The artwork of the CD it is based on the paintings and manuscripts of Lefteris Havoutsas.

GoJam Group have been presented in a lot of small and bigger musical scenes of Athens and region, creating each time separate atmosphere with their contagious spontaneity, their virtuosity and their unaffected directness. The band was created in 2002 by Yiorgos Tsiatsoulis and Petros Varthakouris. They started by playing arrangements of Jazz pieces along with accordion and bandoneon music compositions of Galliano, Piazzola e.t.c.

It was when Lefteris Havoutsas and Yiannis Angelopoulos joined the band (2004) that the name became GoJam Group and new original repertoire was created, in which compositions of each band member was included. The result is a mixture of traditional Greekmusic combined with other music traditions along with the influences, hearings and music experiences of each band member. The desire for artistic expression formed the unique, intricate sound of the group.

The acquaintance and collaboration with authentic musicians and sounds, which broaden the musical identity of Gojam “company”, constitutes for the group a real motivation and, at the same time, a target.
