Born in Palma de Majorca, she moved to Barcelona at the end of the 60's and formed part of what was called 'La Nova Canco' (The New Song), an artistic movement that emerged during the final years of General Franco's dictatorship. Other famous members of the movement are Joan Manual Serrat and Lluis Llach.
