Excellent rock effort, featuring the vocals of Phil Mogg who may well be one of the best straight rock singers to come out of Britain since the initial musical invasion a decade ago and a solid backup that is basic but full of quality. UFO has put together what amounts to 10 potential singles, with all but one self-penned. Little if any overdubbing here, as the band sticks to a live style sound. First English band to come along in some time that seems to be able to handle rock without succumbing to the most outrageous commercialism. Best cuts: "Too Young To Know," "Doctor Doctor," "Time On My Hands," "Oh My."
- Billboard, 1974.
The beginning of Michael Schenker
In 1973, the band left the UK to play some dates in Germany. Their guitarist at the time, Bernie Marsden, forgot his passport and was unable to make the first gig. At the venue UFO spotted Michael Schenker playing a soundcheck with the Scorpions and managed to persuade him to play that evening's show. Despite a big time German-English language barrier, he joined the band full-time following those gigs.
After countless household moves and many drunken accidents i've lost all the covers. The art I've included is from the web and is very bad. I'm very fortunate to still have the beat up old CD play well enough to post for the toughest music critics in the world, avax users.
