Izzy - Ascolta

IZZY - ASCOLTA [2000] APE FORMAT SINGLE TRACKS | ~ 41% to 51% Compression | 44100Hz Stereo | ~ 206MB
Genre: Classical/Crossover, Vocal | Front Cover ONLY included in Download | Download in 4 Parts
I assure you this is a very beautiful CD - not to be missed! Highly Recommended.

You might have come across a few reviews about Izzy but this is my personal opinion. I am sharing with you this CD in high quality because you must stop whatever you are doing and LISTEN to this voice of a real angel... tranquil, without any forced effort, Izzy is, in my opinion, one of those voices you will never forget. I place her on the same level of Sarah Brightman, Emma Shapplin, Charlotte Church, Summer, yet, dare I say, even superior in some aspects. Her breath control and the voice transposition and range are incredible.

Yet don't take just my word for it... download this CD! I am sure you will be transported into realms of musical fantasy and joy, especially if you like to see how the experimental fusion of new and old manage to give, even to non -classical or opera lovers a touch of exquisiteness. Besides, this is not merely a classical singer singing in one of those charity concerts, Pavarotti style, if you get my meaning. This is giving a modern treat to classics in a sensitive way, without destroying what has been so wonderfully created years gone by.

Oh yes, Izzy is great [and not because Izzy rhymes with Jozzie!! :-))))]

I came across one of her albums some time ago but did not place too much attention to it. Probably too busy.. can't remember now. Anyway, I'll take a closer "look" at this album, since you recommended it highly. Thanks, jozzie :-)

Already a favorite in my collection. If you like Izzy, look up Summer for a similar experience of an incredibly beautiful voice with fantastic and sensitive song selections.

Thanks very much for this post!. I'am burning with shame that I never heard of Isobel "Izzy" Cooper before. You said nothing to much in your personal comment: she has a real angels voice. A hihgly recommended CD!
By the way: you sound a bit negative about Pavarotti, one of the greatest lyrical tennors ever. I think he did wonderful work with his charity concerts. Apart from promoting himself he promoted classical music in a way nobody had done before. I'am sure numerous young people made there first step on the path of classical music thanks to mr. Pavarotti.

@ GMBert,
No my friend, I have nothing against Pavarotti!!! When I mentioned that point earlier, I was referring to what had become, sometimes, a rather penchant way of trying to promote classical to crossover music. I can never forget the hollow Ave Maria with Delores O-Riordan, for example. Of course, a lot of his concerts were for charity and served as a means of awareness, not just publicity. Naturally, Pavarotti has created his own niche in classical music and I liked him better, though, in the Three Tenors series. Naturally, all this is a matter of personal opinion.

About Izzy Cooper, I wrote little because, as I realised from my previous posts, many do not like to read!!! So I am glad that you are one of those who enjoy reading informative posts and I am grateful!

Thank you. Concerning Pavarotti... Well, for me there is no music in this gentleman. He just has a good "organ". But please, find for me at least "one" pianissimo made by Pavarotti and I will change my mind... He is just what he want to be: one of the three tenors...
