| “ | Pianist Kenny Drew is accompanied by fellow expatriate drummer Ed Thigpen and the talented young bassist Mads Vinding on these 1981 sessions. The leader continued to grow as a player during his years living in Europe, evolving from a strong bop pianist into something more. He opens "Alone Together" with a tense, evocative solo before returning to familiar territory as the rhythm section joins him. His sprightly, brisk take of "How Are Things in Glocca Mora" is a nice change from the usual arrangements, with Vinding's walking bass prominent in the mix. The leader's two originals include the snappy "Evening in the Park" and the lush, intimate ballad "Your Soft Eyes." This rewarding CD seems to have been deleted from Soul Note's catalog, so it is well worth tracking down.

Very nice album now that I've looked and listened closer. And with "Mr. Taste" Ed Thigpen from the famous OP rhythm section, who regretfully died early this year.

but very ungrateful, slothful and rude without basic manners of behavior,
so that he in any case could not be called gentlemen.
I'm sure, this album has been downloaded more than 500 people up to this time; but again I'm sad to see that,
nobody makes the needed defense; I think this is one of the traditions in avaxhome. :D

Some people refuse to or cannot understand the reasons for some file protection, or do not know how to copy/paste passwords. Of course this excepts those who deliberately use no PW. Everybody is free to use a PW or not to use one !!! Silly remarks mostly come from people suffering from an extremely misplaced arrogance, because they never post anything on Avax. If you don't play the game, then do NOT interfere with the rules (by any means). Just download, unpack (with PWs if any), enjoy and say thanks politely !!!
I've had insulting comments in some of my posts too. My final conclusion now is to ignore these people but if things get too rude, send a PM to the moderator(s) referring to the rules on Avax.
