Guitarist Les Sabler has been leaving his indelible mark on contemporary jazz since 1995 and the advent of his debut CD ‘Time For Love’. It enabled him to secure concert dates and to open for artists such as Richard Elliot, Jeff Lorber, Spyro Gyra, Michael Lington, Diane Schurr and Fattburger while his follow up, the 2003 ‘Bridge the Gap’, garnered the radio hit of the same name. When, in 2007, I reviewed his third solo project, Sunset Drive’ I described him as having found a magic formula with which to make top notch smooth jazz and now he is back with ‘Crescent Shores’ which will be released on Big Deal Records on August 3.
