Bert Van Den Brink – Wondering (1997)
Q Disc | 1997 | Jazz | EAC RIP | FLAC (IMAGE)+CUE+LOG+HQ-Covers (400Dpi) | 153Mb+18Mb

Bert van den Brink is most certainly one of the best dutch pianists at the moment. He played for instance with Toots Thielemans, Chet Baker, DeeDee Bridgewater, Hein van de Gein, Lee Konitz, and he is the regular pianist of Denise Jannah.
Being a classical pianist originally, his jazz carreer started when Edu Ninck Blok asked him to join his band in 1986. A few years later he toured with DeeDee Bridgewater for more than a year. His style is remarkably ripe, rich in lyricism and harmonic sophistication. Beautiful voicings and a touch that can be romantic, but also aggressive as hell.
This live piano solo album stays interesting from the beginning up to the end. In these fifty minutes you'll hear a musician playing piano with a rare level of perfection and detail. It's a man with different faces, the last tune of this album is so beautiful that you can not believe the previous stunning performance of 'the blues' is played by the same pianist. So give it a chance, you won't be disappointed!

Good night sir.. Thank you for another great addition to my jazz archive..
I like solo piano a lot also, and also there's Blue Bossa in tracklist; which is again one of my all time favorites;
I'm curious to hear the performance - but unfortunately I'll download this tomorrow; now I've to arrive here in 10-15 minutes..
I'll be back again here after I finish the download tomorrow..
Best regards sir; I'm sure it's a very tasty album again..
