Laurie Anderson - Big Science [25th Anniversary Edition]
CD Image (BIN+CUE) -> 474 MB | MP3 320k -> 87 MB | Full scans | RS
2007 Remastered | Original release: 1982

There was a backlash against Laurie Anderson in "serious" musical and artistic circles after the completely unexpected mainstream commercial success of her debut album. A fair listen to Big Science leaves the impression that jealousy must have been at the root of the reception because this album is in no way a commercial sellout. Big Science is a landmark release in the New York art scene of the '80s, and quite possibly the best art rock album of the decade.

[Nonesuch released a 25th anniversary edition of the album in 2007, featuring greatly improved sound, liner notes from Anderson, and some enhanced content: B-side "Walk the Dog" and the video for "O Superman."]

01. From The Air
02. Big Science
03. Sweaters
04. Walking & Falling
05. Born, Never Asked
06. O Superman (For Massenet)
07. Example #22
08. Let X=X
09. It Tango

Nice upload!
...but what is the format "BIN"?? Any suggestions as how to convert to FLAC would be most welcome!
(I can use both Mac and PC)

DrBanan:

Download the dbpoweramp, is a universal audio converter, and is free.

Great album, but terrible format. Much larger files than with FLAC, ape or the others, and I can't even see the multimedia stuff anyway. Avoid.

Thank you very much!

Use Isobuster to unpack bin file
Posted By: ivanavitch Date: 25 Oct 2009 22:40:21
its pointless just unpacking the bin file, all you end up with is a strange configuration of strange files .... you'll have to burn the the disc image to disc and then use dbpoweramp to rip the individual song files back into whatever format you prefer ... this is what I have done

install foobar player (free) right click on the cue file.... open with foobar... stop the player.... rigt click on the playlist in foobar convert to whatever you want.. it will output the tracks.

Thanks for the post but...

foobar2000 v1.0 Error Message:
"Unable to open item for playback (Error parsing cuesheet: expected WAVE, MP3 or AIFF, got : "BINARY" (line 1)):
"E:\Laurie Anderson - Big Science\Big Science.cue""

Please re-post in .flac or .ape format
Forget the video!!!

FOUND SOLUTION:
Convert with WinISO to .iso file and the WAV files come out separated.

I found a nice solution: delete these files and don't even think about it.
WinISO doesn't work nor Isobuster or anything else.
