On July 16, 1999, the tenth anniversary of the death of Herbert von Karajan, a memorial concert was held in the Salzburg Cathedral. The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Claudio Abbado, performed Mozart's Requiem in D minor, KV 626, among other works. If it is not as fiery as if Karajan himself were conducting, this is still a memorable and rewarding tribute.

Rachel Harnish - Soprano
Karita Mattila - Soprano
Sara Mingardo - Mezzo Soprano
Michael Schade - Tenor
Bryn Terfel - Bass Baritone
